Perrin FB drops to 1-3

PERRIN – In times of trouble, finding positives can help you get through them.

Such is the case of Perrin’s football team, which suffered a 58-14 loss to Collinsville Friday night to drop to 1-3 for the season. Collinsville stands at 3-1.

Perrin head Coach Ben Staggs and his troops have taken several body blows throughout the campaign, perhaps the worst last week when starting quarterback Hank Moore tore his ACL and meniscus ligaments in a game vs. Lake Country Christian, knocking him out for the season.

It wasn’t the first position change for the squad as Staggs said last week he has yet to have all 11 players be in the same position for an entire game because of injuries.

Staggs said his young team, which features 10 freshmen, has given a solid effort, which makes things easier.

“I love the attitude these kids have had throughout all of this,” Staggs said. “If nothing else, we’re going to have a good time this season.”
