Perrin SB remains perfect in district

PERRIN – The Lady Pirates remained perfect in District 11-AA action with a twinbill sweep of Santo April 7.

In game 1, Perrin posted an 18-6, six inning win. Santo led 3-0 in the second before Perrin exploded for eight runs in the third, one in the fourth, three in the fifth and six in the sixth.

Santo had another three runs in the sixth but it wasn’t enough as the game ended on mercy rule.

Jetton Cansler had two hits and batted in five runs. Kaylie Anderson, who got the win in the circle, had three hits and three RBIs. 

Lara Watson added three hits with Kelli Tucker, Joey Anderson, Blake Gaskill and Ashton Sims having two hits each. Chelsea Gregg batted in two runs as well.

Kaylie Anderson struck out 10 and walked five in the win, scattering six hits.

In the nightcap, Perrin broke open a tight game with a four-run sixth in an 11-7 victory.
