What Constitutes A ‘Trophy’ Buck

After almost 60 years of ‘taking to the whitetail woods’, I think I am qualified to at least take a stab at answering the question, ‘what is a trophy buck?’ This question might sound simple, especially to those of you that have just begun your whitetail hunting career but take it from me.

King Anniversary Parade

Doris & Leon King eloped to Lawton OK., on November 11, 1950 and were married at 5:30pm. They have lived all over the United States but settled in Doris' childhood home in Jacksboro in 1987. They have been blessed with three daughters, two grandsons and six great grandchildren, the eldest great grandson serving in the Navy. Doris and Leon have been members of the First Baptist Church since settling in Jacksboro. On Wednesday, November 11th, the First Baptist Church organized a reverse parade to congratulate the Kings for their 70th Anniversary. The Kings sat on their porch as everyone drove by honking their horns, blowing bubbles and leaving signs in celebration.

I will be fishing with friends at Tazin Lake Lodge which is a ‘fly in’ destination with float plane being the only viable means of getting there.
