Bridges to Life graduates LSJ class
Bridges to Life honored another graduating class during a ceremony Monday, June 5 at Lindsey State Jail. It was a special night for Matthew Daniels, who was honored as graduate 75,000 of the program. Daniels admitted he was overcome with obstacles in his life but was grateful for getting a second chance with the 14week program.
Berry graduates from Citadel
Michael Berry, of Jacksboro, earned a Political Science Bachelor of Arts from The Citadel. Berry graduated during the South Carolina Corps of Cadets commencement ceremony Saturday, May 6.
TNT Fest coming up June 24
A Jacksboro tradition is just more than two weeks away. TNT Fest is Saturday, June 24 with a fun filled day of games, food and fun.

Lions Club fish fry a success
Lions Club International’s motto is “We Serve.” Serving more than 310 plates of fish in 90 minutes, Jacksboro Lions hosted another successful fish fry Thursday, June 1 outside the Jack County Courthouse. The fish fry, the local club’s biggest fundraiser, goes to benefit Lions programs such as scholarships, Lions Camp and vision projects.
Summer day camps starting
Jack County Extension Service will host a number of summer day camps beginning June 12. All of the camps will run from 9 a.m.

Sixty-one Jacksboro High School seniors bid a fond farewell to their alma mater Friday, May 26. Before a large nearly filled home stands at Tiger Stadium, the Class of 2023 was honored.
BISD board sworn in
Three board members were sworn in for new terms as part of Bryson ISD’s regular board meeting Monday, May 22. Incumbents T-Bob Hauger, Ronnie Collins and Blake Brooks retained their seats.
