Bryson ISD seeking to hire an SRO

Bryson ISD school officials are looking to enter into an interlocal agreement with the Jacksboro Police Department for the use of a school resource officer. No details or contracts were worked out during the Bryson ISD meeting Monday, June 26, but Jacksboro Police Chief Scott Haynes said he had several meetings with BISD Superintendent Greg London and school board President, T-Bob Hauger over the last six months on having an officer at the school either on a full or part-time basis or at certain events.

City, JISD swapping land

Jacksboro aldermen tabled an item on nominations and appointments to two boards during their Monday, June 26 meeting. Both the Board of Zoning and Planning and Zoning are full with only one, P&Z Chair Debbie Reaves expressing an interest to leave, according to City Manager Mike Smith.
