Pippin Memorial set for Sept. 19 in Bryson

BRYSON – A full day of events remembering the life of Bryson resident Bailey Pippin is scheduled Saturday, Sept. 19 at Jermyn Community Center..

All proceeds from the events go toward scholarships for graduating seniors. The running events begin at 7 a.m. with registration for the 7:30 a.m. 5K and 1K run and fun run. All finishers receive a medal. Later that morning, beginning at 9 a.m. a skeet shoot will be held. A sand volleyball tournament will get started at 10 a.m. Four person co-ed teams only at $100 team.

A corn hole tournament will also be held but a time for that is yet to be set as of press time. A fish fry is scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m. for $10 per plate.

A concession stand will be in service all day. Evening’s music will begin with Jarrett Isaac from 8 to 9 p.m. with the Jay Cominsky Band taking the stage from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
