May 25 fire injures one, benefit held
house fire May 25 and is now looking toward a long road to recovery.
Caleb Keith, a 2018 Jacksboro High School graduate, was in the residence at 521 N. 5th St. when it caught fire late Monday afternoon. Keith, who was reportedly asleep during the fire, got out, but has second and first degree burns primarily to his hands.
He was care-flighted to Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas and now faces a long road to recovery. He recently lost his job and has no insurance. Friends have started a Caleb Keith Medical Fund to pay for his expenses.
