Kuhn to leave Perrin
Perrin-Whitt CISD will soon be looking for a new superintendent
It’s current superintendent, John Kuhn, was named the lone finalist for the top administrator job at Mineral Wells ISD at its board meeting June 6.
After a 21-day waiting period, the MWISD can formally offer him a contract.
PWCISD Board President Mike Withaeger said trustees will soon discuss how it will go about the search and finding a temporary replacement.
“We’re finding out who we’re going to use to search for a new one and appointing an interim until we find a replacement. That’s what we’re starting the process of now,” he said.
Withaegar said the board has some options in handling search. It could hire a search firm, use the Region 9 Education Service Center or the Texas Association of School Boards.
“There are firms that will post it and bring lots of applicants,” he said.
Kuhn served as the PWCISD superintendent for six years. He took the position after serving as principal of Mineral Wells High School for three years.
