Fire burns home west of Perrin
A fire Monday consumed a home in southern Jack County.
Firemen were dispatched to the scene of a structure fire approximately 4 miles west of Perrin on FM 2210 at about 4:45 p.m. Monday.
Jacksboro fireman Jason Jennings said the homeowner was in the house when it started.
“He was sitting in his living room when he heard a noise,” Jenning said. “He saw the back room was on fire.”
The fire was in the attic and also below the floor of the modular home. Owner Kenny Hughes was uninjured but the home was a total loss. Firefighters worked at the scene for 5 hours.
Jacksboro Assistant Fire Chief Jeff Jackson said the cause of the fire is undetermined at this time.
