Wed, 10/14/2020 - 5:00 am

SEYMOUR – While not having any team results, six individual cross country runners for Jacksboro ran well at a meet here Thursday morning.

On the boys side, Jordan Yount led the Tigers with a 19:22 time, good enough for 25th place, Yahir Salas was 29th in 19:39 over the threemile course followed by Zach Sharp in 36th in 20:37.

For the ladies, Soleil DeSantiago was 35th in 14:22. Monsterrat Luna was 60th in 15:34 followed by Isabell Bustos in 71st with a 16:38 clocking.

Even with not many runners, those that ran the course will get some benefits, according to Coach Steve Hooten.

“The boys and girls ran well, and got some really good work out of running this course,” Hooten said. “Seymour has a challenging course, and there was some really good competition at the meet. No doubt that this meet made us better.”
