Lawyers to read Declaration

Fri, 07/01/2016 - 4:03 pm

Attorney Robert Massey, based in Wichita Falls, together with his family will be reading the Declaration of Independence of the United States on the front steps of the Jack County Courthouse on Monday, July 4 at 1:30 p.m. The reading is part of a statewide effort spearheaded by the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyer’s Association to ensure such readings occur in all the state’s counties to commemorate our country’s independence from British imperial rule.  Mr. Massey invites anyone who may be interested to participate.

“The Fourth of July is more than just another holiday,” said Massey. “It is the day we observe to commemorate what we stand for together as a people in a free democracy.”
