Board honors Darren Francis

Perrin-Whitt CISD Vice President Mark Sims presents Board Member Darren Francis a plaque of appreciation for his four years of work on the board. 

Judge Keith Umphress of Jack County has been elected as Secretary of Nortex Regional Planning Commission for the next year. The Executive Committee of Nortex Regional Planning Commission elected Judge Umphress at its regular monthly Board meeting in September to serve in this capacity for the Commission. Other officer appointments for the upcoming year include Mayor Howard Raeke of Henrietta as Chair, Judge Rusty Stafford of Baylor County as Vice-Chair and Judge Karl Holloway of Cottle County as Past Chair. Nortex Regional Planning Commission is a voluntary association of the local governments within an eleven county region in North Texas. Judge Umphress has been an active member of Nortex Regional Planning Commission representing Jack County in the past. Nortex Regional Planning Commission administers programs for community development, services for the elderly, 9-1-1 planning, solid waste planning, law enforcement planning, economic development, homeland security, homeless prevention, etc. The Commission controls and budgets approximately $14.3 million in federal and state programs on an annual basis within this region.
