The Jacksboro Tigerettes opened the second round of district play Thursday, March 28 with a convincing 14-3 win over host Iowa Park. The team is now 7-0 in district and 22-3 overall.
Officials from the city of Jacksboro are continuing work on some projects and starting others as the year 2024 begins. Jacksboro City Manager Mike Smith said work on the proposed landfill on Highway 199 has developers ready to turn dirt sometime in the first quarter of 2024.
Emma Gray had a little different holiday break than most teenage girls. Gray, a Jacksboro High senior, spent eight days in the Dominican Republic representing Team USA softball.
Jacksboro, which led by 17 points midway through the second quarter, had to fight off a feisty Bowie team to remain perfect in District 7-3A with a 3835 win Tuesday, Jan. 2 over the Lady Rabbits.
