The Perrin Lady Pirates volleyball team, ranked No. 5 in Class A by the Texas Girls Coaches Association, kept rolling down the highway Thursday, Aug. 30.

Perrin upped its record to 12-5 with a 25-15, 25-12, 25-22 win over Mineral Wells Community Christian. Lady Pirate’s coach Rebekah Bland said momentum reared its ugly head in game three.

“I thought our hitting was on in the first two games but was definitely off in the third,” Bland said. “We had played our game in the first two games but got away from the way we play in the third.”
