Tiger rally falls just short

Taking advantage of an opponent’s mistakes isn’t as easy as it sounds.

Jacksboro’s boys were down eight, 28-20, at halftime to Nocona Jan. 19. The Indians went on to shoot 2-21 from the field in the final two quarters with Jacksboro converting 8-26 from the floor at the same time.

Surprisingly, Jacksboro would tie the game just once, thanks to a terrific second half at the free throw line for the visitors who held on for a 43-41 win at Tiger Gym.

Wood felt the talk may have helped his players play through a tough second half vs. district leading Nocona Jan. 19. The Tigerettes gave a solid effort in the final two quarters but the damage had been done in a 66-29 setback at Tiger Gym.
