Jack County authorities are currently conducting a search for a missing Fort Worth man.

Nkosinomusa Emmauel Gwalla, 61, was reported missing Monday, July 22 by the Fort Worth Police Department. After his vehicle was located yesterday afternoon near Jacksboro, a search was initiated by the Jack County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the missing person’s post on FWPD’s Facebook page, Gwalla was last seen at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 17 in the 1400 block of Intermodal Parkway in Fort Worth. Gwalla is 5 foot 7 inches, 198 pounds, and bald with brown eyes.

DPS, county identify remains in almost 40-year cold case

A decades-old Jack County homicide just got a new lead and authorities are seeking information from the public.

The Jack County Sheriff’s Office and Texas Rangers have identified Roberta Mumma as the victim of an alleged homicide that occurred near Wizard Wells in 1984. Her identity has remained a mystery until now.

Mumma was 25 years old at the time of her death and was identified using advanced forensic techniques and DNA analysis. Her last known location before the discovery of her remains was in Tennessee.

Group hosting event to help rebuild arena After years of seeing the Jack County Sheriff’s Posse rodeo arena sit idle after the March 2022 tornado, activity will return to the facility soon. Ace Lowrance with JCSP said work on reconstructing the arena has stalled due to a lack of funds.
