Faith Community Hospital and Texas A&M Extension Service of Jack County are hosting their free, annual health fair from 7 to 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 30 at the Bible Baptist Church Youth Building, 241 W. Live Oak. Free testing will be going on throughout the event. Door prizes will be given away during the event.

An update on the Long Term Recovery Committee’s work was given to the Jacksboro Lions Club last Wednesday, Sept. 14. Chairman Joel Hood said the committee’s work is moving into another phase. Committee members have gone from the training and getting organized phase into one where the true work really begins.
The Oncor Cares Foundation is contributing $10,000 to the Jacksboro Vision Group Foundation to help provide elementary students with reading materials.
