XC teams compete in Weatherford

WEATHERFORD – On a rainy, muddy course at Canyon West Golf Course, Jacksboro took part in the Parker County Cross Country championships Saturday and had success on both the high and middle school levels.

The varsity boys finished a respectable fourth out of 15 schools. Javier Palomar led the Tigers with a fourth-place finish with Jose Palomar winding up ninth. 

The two medalists were followed by Daylon Valles in 22nd, freshman McCain Beck in 24th, Randall Hamilton in 28th place and Zach Sharp in 33rd. Drew Bright was 66th followed by Kayne Miller in 90th, Colton Mitchell in 92nd, Taber Dunn in 118th, Yahir Salas in 119th and Riley Miller in 120th.

The girls also finished in the middle of the pack, coming home 6th out of 10 teams.
