On Saturday, the Jacksboro High School girls runners took part in the Decatur Reunion Run. The Tigerettes, who finished 9th out of 15 teams overall, were led by Brailyn Tullous in 19th with a time of 13:58.82. She was followed by Judit Herrera in 27th in 14:17.96. Madison Collins was 54th in 15:23.56. Dylan Nichols came in 61st after a time of 15:26.75, Kennedy Lowther was 65th in 15:28.85 followed by Michelle Barron in 85th with a time of 16:53.80.
On the JV girls side, Kailee Lehman was 28th with a time of 17:33. The JV boys were led by Alexis Espinoza in 37th with a time of 23:49 with Angel Aldava finishing 40th in 24:12 over the 3.1 mile course.
In the junior high girls, Allin Aldava had a strong 15th place showing out of 79 runners with a time of 15:17 with Allison Santillana finishing 52nd with a time of 17:44.
The Tiger junior high boys finished third as a team, led by Paden Seaberry in 9th with a 13:23 time with Damian Salazar right behind in 10th with a 13:26 time.
Travis Mitchell was 18th in 13:39, Jacob Ingram 27th in 14:09, Christian Wampler 33rd in 14:42, John Powers was 41st with a 15:14 time followed by Corey Rodriguez in 47th in 15:30, Brody Vaughn in 54th with a 15:54 time. Levi Gavitt was 63rd in 16:43 followed by Gabriel Garza in 73rd with a time of 18:20.
“All the kids competed really well at the meet,” Coach Steve Hooten said. “Proud of the toughness we showed in order to compete at a high lev- el. We continue to get better each week and we feel good about our chances at district.”
The middle school district meet is set to begin with the girls at 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 8 at Holliday.
The high school District 7-3A Meet is scheduled to begin with the varsity girls at 8:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 10, also in Holliday.
