Tigers gun for win vs. Eastland
After a slow start, Jacksboro looks to be on its way to another productive season.
The Tigers have won their last two games, including a 29-6 victory over Wichita Falls City View last Friday evening, to even their record at 2-2. A win Friday at home vs. Eastland would keep the squad in a positive frame of mind and allow Jacksboro to enter District 6-3A Division II on a high note.
“We’re getting to play our third game in a row with what we’re going to have, so we’re getting into a rhythm and we’ll hopefully build on that,” Rodgers said.
The Mavericks (3-1) are not an unfamiliar opponent to Jacksboro fans, being a district foe recently. Eastland won both those games convincingly, 34-0 (in a game called at halftime because of thunderstorms) and 51-24.
