Tigers fall to Millsap
Growing pains are frustrating.
You outhit your opponent, you make fewer errors than they do ... and somehow they manage to get a victory on the road against you. Such was the case of Jacksboro’s baseball team Tuesday evening.
The Tigers outhit visiting Millsap, 7-4, made four miscues to the Bulldogs’ five, and Millsap still managed to use some late-inning offense to take a closer than it looked 5-2 victory at Tiger Field.
Jacksboro is still searching for that first District 7-3A win, slipping to 0-5 with the Bulldogs going to 2-3. Tiger Coach Blake Belcher said his squad’s errors proved costly.
“We need to make the routine plays,” Belcher said following the 2:03 contest.
