Jacksboro 26-25-15, FW North Side 24-27-10 The Tigerettes’ first match of the day was a battle from start to finish but was only a segue of things to come.

The Lady Steers jumped out to a 6-2 lead in the opener but a Brailyn Tullous pair set up a five-point string by Kylie Tullous, including three aces for an 11-9 lead. Jacksboro led by as many as four but North Side came back to tie the match at 17.

Jacksboro broke serve at 18-all which Brailyn Tullous rolled off a pair, aided by Erin Jonas’ kill to go up 21-18. North Side came back to take a 22-21 lead. Jacksboro tied the game at 22 and 24 before Chloe Hart served up the final two points, am Ashlyn Nunley kill setting up match point. Jacksboro led 22-18 on a Brailyn Tullous point but the Steers came back to knot the game at 23 and 24.

Haak then broke the tie with a point but it wasn’t enough as North Side pulled away for a game three.

In the finale, Perez rolled off four tallies for a 5-2 lead. Haak’s block set the stage for a Kylie Tullous pair and a 10-5 lead.

Haak later served up two points, including an ace, for a 13-6 lead and the Purple rolled from there.

Jacksboro 20-25-16, Alvord 25-22-14

Much like match one, Jacksboro got everything it wanted from the Class 2A Lady Bulldogs but prevailed in the end.

The Tigerettes led 4-0 early in the opener but Alvord eventually pulled away as Jacksboro could not get anything major going offensively. Things got no better early in game two with Alvord leading 14-6. Hart’s three-point run, helped by a combo block from Rachael Chalmers and Payton Nail, cut the lead to four.

Down 20-15, Kylie Tullous served up a pair while Haak rolled off the final six tallies, aided by a Chalmers block to even the match at 1-1.

Jacksboro led 2-0 in the nightcap on a Perez point but Alvord went up 4-2. Avery Bennett served up five points, with help from a Haak block and Kylie Tullous kill, for an 8-4 lead.

Again, the Bulldogs came back for a 9-8 lead. Jacksboro went up 11-10 on a Kylie Tullous tally. Alvord led for the last time at 14-13 before service break and two Perez points sealed the deal to keep Jacksboro unbeaten in pool play.

Jacksboro 18-25-15, Perrin 25-21-6

The Ti g e re t t e s stormed out to early leads in the final two games to finish off pool play.

Jacksboro led 12-7 in the opener after strings from Brailyn Tullous and Kylie Tullous. A nine-point Aaliyah Brown run for the Lady Pirates, helped by two aces and a Makenna Mathis kill, put Perrin up 18-13. Jacksboro would get no closer than four the rest of the game, Landry Thompson’s pair giving Perrin the game one win.

In game two, it was Brailyn Tullous who broke things open with a 10-point skein extending the lead to 17-5 with some front court work from Kylie Tullous.

Perrin matched it with another Brown run, this one 10-pointer to tie the game at 18. Front court work from Landry Thompson and a pair of aces got the Lady Pirates back into the fray.

Haak began the comeback with a kill to break serve and then served up a point for a 20-18 lead. Hart extended the lead to four points with a serving deuce. The squads exchanged breaking serve to end the game.

In game three, it was Bennett’s eight-point serving string that put Jacksboro up 11-2. Brailyn Tullous’ pair put the lead into double figures at 14-3. Perrin picked up points from Jessa Angelly, whose points were put down by Kenadee Langham, but it was too little too late.

On Saturday, the girls opened strong with a two-game sweep of Lingleville followed by a two-game sweep of Graford to move into the championship vs. the host Lady Monarchs.

It wasn’t to be as Poolvi l le defeated Jacksboro to take the title. Senior Rachael Chalmers and sophomore Brailyn Tullous were named to the All-Tournament Team, selected by the coaches.

Jacksboro remained at home Tuesday to face Archer City (no results available as of press time). The Tigerettes will stay busy through the weekend, playing in both the Nocona Tournament Thursday and Saturday, as well as hosting Jack County rival, Bryson, at 4 p.m. Friday.
