Tigerettes lose 7-3A opener

Vernon’s varsity volleyball team arrived late Friday for its match with Jacksboro but the Lady Lions wasted little time in taking Jacksboro’s homecourt advantage away in a 25-20, 2521, 25-23 win.

Jacksboro fought gamely against the visitors but ultimately took the loss. The girls played at Iowa Park Tuesday (no results as of press time) and will play Bowie Saturday afternoon.
