JYSO football registration Sunday

Jacksboro Youth Sports Organization is trying to help parents out in this time of need.

Registration for the youth football season began June 7 and will continue Sunday, June 14. Registration will run from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Twin Lake Fields concession stands.

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, which knocked out the baseball season and has hurt so many families, registration will be free for the upcoming season, according to Travis Thompson with the JYSO.

The organization will be doing fundraising this summer in the form of four 1/4 heads of beef. Tickets will be $5 each and five for $20.

For newcomers, players in grades K-6 are eligible to play. Children in grades K-2 will play flag football with players in grades 3-6 playing tackle football.

The season runs from September through November. Practices will begin in August.
