JHS girls close home season with 51-30 win over Breckenridge

Jacksboro took control early Friday on Senior Night and posted a 51- 30 victory over visiting Breckenridge.

Jacksboro (5-6 in district 7-3A) outscored the visitors 11-5 in the first quarter. Alexis Holman had five points in the frame with Brynn Pardue and Traci Berend converting shots from outside to end the scoring.

Berend paced a 13-point second frame with three buckets. Holman added three with Avery Bennett a bucket and Kylie Tullous a pair of free throws. Jacksboro took a convincing 24-9 lead at the half.

Pardue hit from both inside and out to lead the Tigerettes with five of the squad’s 15 third quarter points. Teagan Reynolds added four tallies as did Holman. Senior post Rhett Rollans had an inside bucket in the third.

Jaci Gann added a bucket as did Hadlee Richardson and Pardue with Holman adding a bucket and a free throw. Reynolds, Berend and Bennett added single free throws in the final frame.

Holman closed out her home career with a 15-point night to lead the Tigerettes. Pardue and Berend had 10 each for the Tigerettes.
