JHS girls 4th at Peaster meet

PEASTER – Jacksboro’as girls tricksters had solid track meet here March 11 finishing fourth in the girls division.

The squad was paced by a pair of first place finishes: Kylie Tullous in the pole vault and Savannah Thompson in the discus. Second place finishes were received by Emma Owen in the triple jump with a third place finish received by Traci Berend in the shot put.

All three relay teams finished fourth, including the 400-meter and 800-meter relay quartets of Brynn Pardue, Rachael Chalmers, Rylee Mathird and Charlie Phariss. The 1,600-meter relay foursome of Owen, Chalmers, Pardue, and Mathis was also fourth.

Individual fourth place finishes were recorded by Tullous in the 100-meters, Thompson in the shot-put and Berend in the discus. Coming in 5th place were Soleil DeSantiago in the 800-meter run, 1600-meterrun and 3,200-meter run, Chalmers in the discus and Tullous in the long jump.

Montserrat Luna was sixth in both the 1600-meter and 3,200-meter run.
