Jacksboro’s Pee Wee and Midget football teams posted wins over visiting Olney Saturday at Tiger Stadium.

Brief summaries of both games follow:

Jacksboro Pee Wee 36, Olney 0
The young Tigers scored every time they had the ball to cruise to the victory.

Jacksboro’s ground game got things started with Derek Collom’s 17-yard run and then a 31-yard jaunt to the one by McCoy Mower setting the stage for Collom’s score. The conversion failed with 4:54 left in the first.

Jacksboro forced a turnover on downs to get the ball back. A 20-yard Ryder Hamilton run moved the ball inside the Cub 10. Mower then punched it in for the 8-yard TD run. The conversion failed with 35 seconds left in the first.

A Tiger fumble recovery gave the hosts the ball at the Olney 45. Billy Ray Thompson’s 17-yard TD run, set up by a 17-yard Strone Thompson run, was called back by penalty. It mattered little as Collom went 15 yards to the five and Mower finished the job from there. Parker Andrews added the conversion run for a 20-0 lead with 5:52 left in the half.

Jacksboro again forced a turnover on downs. Collom again had a set up run this one 18 yards to the Cub 28 where Hamilton finished the job with a 28-yard run. Cullen Flaniken’s conversion extended the lead to 28-0. Sofhia Ostrander came through with a fumble recovery late in the half to keep Olney off the board.

The clock ran continuously in the second half. After a scoreless third quarter, Andrews used his own 13-yard run and runs from Flaniken and Ostrander to set the table for a 9-yard run. Jaxson Fry tacked on the conversion with 4:46 to go.

Olney used a long kick return to get the ball into Tiger territory but couldn’t find the end zone.

Jacksboro Midget 14, Olney 8
Padun Seaberry’s interception with 39 seconds to go and a Seaberry defensive stop got the Tigers the come from behind win.

Jacksboro had turned the ball over on downs with 56 seconds to go before Seaberry came through to break the 8-all tie. Olney drew first blood by getting a turnover on downs at the Tiger 14. Shareginald Williams’ 1-yard run and subsequent conversion put Olney up 8-0 with 2:27 left in the first.

A pair of Jacksboro turnovers kept the Tigers off the board in the first half. Seaberry had a fumble recovery in the second half. Kyndon /Salazar’s 27-yard run and a pair of Seaberry runs set the table for Sebastian

Romero’s two-yard scoring run. Seaberry added the conversion with 20 seconds left in the third.
