Jacksboro MS wins Olney Meet
OLNEY – JMS’ girls cross country team had a great meet here Saturday, winning the overall title.
Finishing third was Emily Rodgers in 15:02, the top individual Tigerette finisher. Brailyn Tullous was fifth in 15:07 with Dylan Nichols sixth in 15:41 and Liliana Perez ninth in 15:51.
The top four runners make up a team score. Right behind Perez in 10th was Michelle Barron in 10th with a 16:07. Madison Collins was 16th in 16:50. Ruby Flores finished 18th in 17:10. Bella Nail was 26th in 19:26 and Kailee Lehman in 20:06.
A pair of sixth grade girls ran un-attached. Rylee Bennett ran at 15:07, which would have tied for fifth in the regular race, and Kylie Johnson turned in a time of 18:23. Only 7th and 8th graders can compete on a team.
On the boys side, Eli Jonas was the top individual winning with a time of 13:07. Gavin Kennedy was fifth in 14:37 and Eric Pizana eighth in 15:33.
“The kids all had a great meet, and I am pleased with how we competed,” Coach Steve Hooten said.
