In their first District 7-3A meeting, Jacksboro and Paradise’s volleyball squads waged battle in a five-game match that had fans on the edge of their seats throughout.

Saturday’s rematch was no exception as the lady Panthers came into Tiger Gym looking for revenge… and they got it. In another five-game epic, the Tigerettes surrendered a 2-1 game lead and fell 25-21, 22-25, 25-21,18-25, 4-15.

All five games were as close as they appeared. Jacksboro came from 12-15 down in game one by using single points from Harlee Richardson and a Traci Berend ace to tie the game at 18. Alex Holman put the Tigerettes up 21-20 with help from a combo block from Morgyn Green and Rhett Rollans. Paradise would break serve but a Makenna McAnear kill gave Jacksboro the serve back before Stefy Piedra served out the game’s final three points.

The visitors pulled away early in game two and while never pulling completely away, kept the Tigerettes in their rearview mirror to even the match at a game apiece.
