Jacksboro, Bryson release basketball schedules

With some changes still possible, Jacksboro and Bryson have released their 2020-21 basketball schedules.

Jacksboro girls

With the Tigerettes not playing volleyball this playoff season, their campaign will begin as a warmup for a football game. Jacksboro will play at Millsap at 5:15 Nov. 6 with the Tiger and Bulldog football teams playing at 7 p.m.

Jacksboro’s girls will return hone Nov. 10 to face Class 4A Burkburnett before hitting the road for a four-game road swing which begins at Graham Nov. 14 and Lindsay Nov. 20 before playing at Paradise Nov. 23 and Iowa Park Nov. 24.

After Thanksgiving, the Tigerettes play Archer City at home Dec. 1 and Electra Dec. 4. A Saturday game at Tolar follows Dec. 5 before home games with former district foe Brock (Dec. 8) and Mineral Wells (Dec. 11) to close out non-district.

District 7-3A action commences Dec. 15 at City View followed by the final pre-Christmas game vs. Nocona Dec. 18. A 12-day break for Christmas ensues before the girls head to Bowie Dec. 30.

Holliday comes to town Jan. 2 before a Jan. 5 road trip to Breckenridge. The girls close out the first round of district at home vs. Henrietta Jan. 12.

A Saturday afternoon game vs. City View Jan. 16 opens the second round of loop action. The girls then play at Nocona Jan. 19, at home vs. Bowie Jan. 22, at Holliday Jan. 26, vs. Breckenridge Jan. 29, and at Henrietta to close the regular season Feb. 5.

The Jacksboro boys schedule is the same from Dec. 30-Feb. 5 as the girls. The Tigers open the year with three straight home games in the first five days: Dec. 4 at home vs. Electra and then host former district foe Millsap Dec. 5 and take on Gainesville Dec. 8.

Road games at Seymour and Lindsay Dec. 11-12 are followed by a Dec. 15 home game vs. Graham.

Jacksboro’s schedule is the same as the girls before closing the district Feb. 9 at. City View and Feb. 12 at home vs. Nocona.

Bryson

As is normal, the boys and girls play back to back many nights. The girls play with the boys every night except two as they open district a week before the boys.

The season begins Nov. 17 in Chico and returns home Nov. 21 vs. Bluff Dale. Road trips at Lingleville (Nov. 23) and Moran (Nov. 24) close out Thanksgiving. Both squads host Prairie Valley Dec. 1 and Wichita Christian Dec. 4 before the first of two Saturday matchups this one at Lueders-Avoca. Dec. 5

The teams then play at Iredell Dec. 8 and host Gold-Burg Dec. 11 before the second Saturday road trip at Midway Dec.12.

Both squads host Lingleville in the pre-Christmas wrap-up Dec. 15. A two-week break ensues before the boys only host Olney Dec. 29.

The New year opens with the girls opening district at Woodson Jan. 2. Jan. 5 both teams are home, the girls with Graford and the boys to play Petrolia.

The schedule for both goes back to being the same starting Jan. 8 with a road game at Throckmorton. Jan. 12, the squads are at Newcastle. Home games with Perrin (Jan. 15) and Woodson (Jan. 19) follow by a road game at Graford Jan. 22. Home games with Throckmorton (Jan. 26) and Newcastle (Jan. 29) follow with the teams traveling to Perrin for a Jack County showdown (Feb. 2), closing the girls regular season while the boys close at Woodson Feb. 5 and hosting Graford Feb. 9.
