Jacksboro High School’s varsity girls cross country team finished a strong 3rd among nine teams at the Burkburnett Invitational, Friday, Sept. 1 Four Tigerettes medaled in the event, led by sophomore Brailyn Tullous, who finished 12th with a 13:43.93 time. She was followed closely by Judit Herrera who was 14th in 13:55.88. Freshman Madison Collins was 23rd in 14:33.09, with fellow neophyte Dylan Nichols 25th in 14:36.43. Kennedy Lowther was 36th in 15:05.15, Jocelyn Santillana 43rd in 15:23.26 and Michelle Marron 50th in 15:50.41.

Four boys ran in the JV division. The Tigers ran as individuals, but did not have enough to form a five person team.

Angel Aldava was 11th in 24:20.49, followed by Kaden Vaughn in 16th in 25:11.68, Alexis Espinoza in 17th in 25:50.30, and Bryson Crunk 27th in 28:16.56.

The teams are off until Saturday, Sept. 10 when they will travel to compete in the Decatur Assault at Eagle Summit.
