Getting after it

Wed, 08/19/2020 - 5:00 am

As Queen so eloquently put in one of their classic hits “Another One Bites the Dust”, the 2020 Fall Sports Tab has been put to rest.

It will be out on the streets in the next couple of weeks as part of the regular paper. The Tab will include stories, team photos and schedules from our three county schools. We’re hoping you enjoy it.

As always a lot of sweat, and tears went into it as I’m always wondering if I’m going to have enough to go into it. With the early deadlines this year, I had to scramble to get some of the team pics in.

At the Meet the Mascot events, I usually get all the team shots in one full swoop. Fortunately, Bryson which had originally canceled the event, decided to have theirs for Seniors and their families only, saying they wanted to keep things as normal as possible.

In this day and age, everyone had one but it was too late for my deadlines, so I was scrambling to get some stuff done and eventually did it. Thanks to the coaches for working around my schedule, I sincerely appreciate it.

Ever since I got here six years ago, it’s been fun getting all these pics and articles and schedules together. Having a shorter deadline put the crimp on some things but the job got done.

Now I hope you folks enjoy it. Sometimes I wonder if anyone reads or even sees my stuff and it surprises me when they say they like an item.

Conversation has been a weak point over the years at least with my mons. Everyone else seems to like me okay. I hope to improve that this Fall, but like with everything, that’s a two way street.

That’s about it for this week. As always, thanks for reading.

See y’all down the road.
