Jacksboro Middle School’s 8th-grade football team got off to a good start versus visiting Breckenridge Oct. 4 but the visiting Broncos broke things open with a pair of second-half touchdowns to post a 22-6 win over the Tigers at Tiger Stadium.
Baylor Laake had the lone score for Jacksboro, scoring on a 61-yard run. Breckenridge would add a score and a conversion to take an 8-6 lead after one before adding second-half scores to pull away in the second half.
Coach Brian Davenport praised the defensive work of Laake, Joseph Dunn, Ramiro Bustos, and Mikey Martinez but said there is still work to be done.
