Bryson softball All-District

The All-District 9-A softball team was announced recently and Bryson, which finished second, was placed several on the squad.

The Cowgirls, which won the first playoff game in school history this season, had three superlatives. Senior Windsor Godfrey was offensive MVP. Audrey Purvis was co-pitcher of the year while Traci Berend was newcomer of the year.

Named first team infielders were juniors Tracy Hauger and Allie Orr. Cara London was a first team outfielder.

Zoey Morrow and Isabella Moore were second team outfielders with Brooke Bennett and Kaylie Sherrin were second team infielders. Honorable mention infield went to Johannah Herpeche.

Nearly the entire team was an academic all-district selection. Those were: Berend, Godfrey, Hauger, London, Morrow, Purvis, Bennett, Brylee Hawkins, Raylynn Carnley, Lizzy Miller, Alyssa Nevarez and Braydee Thorne.
