NEWCASTLE – Bryson earned a playoff position in the Class A playoffs with a 52-6 win over the host Bobcats Friday night.
Bryson is 2-1 in district. The Cowboys jumped out to a 15-0 lead after one and extended the cushion to 46-6 at halftime. Third quarter score ended the game by 45-point mercy rule.
The Cowboys picked up 328 yards offensively, led by Conner Huffman who rushed for four touchdowns on 148 yards and 11 carries. Marcos Espinoza had a score among his five carries for 46 yards. In the air, Huffman was 1-2 for 10 yards, Zander Tinney 1-1 for five yards.
On the receiving end, Espinoza had two grabs for 16 yards and Ragen Register two catches for six yards. Tyce Reeves had one catch, Huffman had an 11-yard reception and Tinney a 75-yard reception for a score.
Bryson closed its regular season with Arlington TLCA. No results as of press time.
