BRYSON – Wichita Falls Notre Dame’s football team arrived here Friday night with just seven able bodied players.

They left with barely half that.

The Knights lost three players to injury in just more than a quarter, forcing the non-district game to be called midway through the second quarter with the host Cowboys leading 36-0. Bryson is now 2-0 on the young season with Notre Dame slipping to 0-2.

Bryson Coach Jason Briles said he was hoping to get his players more reps heading into tonight’s game vs. defending state champ Strawn.

“I was hoping to get Landon (Stephens) and Zander (Tinney) more reps,” Briles explained. “We played the entire second quarter at five-on-five until the game was called."
