BRYSON – A large crowd came out last Tuesday, May 3 to honor Bryson Cowboy and Cowgirl athletes during the Bryson Athletic Banquet.
The two-hour event, sponsored by the Athletic Booster Club, introduced athletes who participated during the 2021-22 school year. Booster Club members then awarded one $500 scholarship to Sarakay Hardy and two $1,000 scholarships to Katie Zielinski and Windsor Godfrey.
Seniors Traci Berend, Godfrey, Stephen Freeman and Tanner Burby were honored for their work for the program. Each senior was allowed to deco rate a table with their accomplishments.
Several superlatives were given out, including most improved player and most valuable player in each sport. Each head coach spoke about their past seasons as well.

Girls Track
Most Improved: Hanna Perez; MVP: Windsor Godfrey
Boys Track
Most Improved: Stephen Freeman; MVP: Tanner Burby
Softball
Most Improved: Traci Berend; MVP: Audrey Purvis
Baseball
Most Improved: Jameson Pierce; MVPs: Tanner Burby and Evan Ford
