It’s not’s often you attempt 50 free throws at at high school girls game.

Such was the case of Holliday during Jacksboro’s varsity game Saturday afternoon, where the visitors attempted 51 free throws and made 31. That was part of the reason Holliday overcame a halftime deficit and cruised to a 54-47 victory at Tiger Gym.

Holliday took an 11-6 lead after onw, Alexis Holman coming through with three points, Teagan Reynolds two and Kylie Tyllous a single free throw for the Tigerettes.

Holman continued to have a strong half, scoring four second quarter points. Traci Berend, Hadlee Richardson and Brynn Pardue each had two points. Both squads had 10 second quarter points, the Tigerettesstill being down 21-16 at the half.

Both teams had big offensive third quarters. Holman, Tullous, and Berend leading Jacksboro with four points each. Reynolds had three points and Pardue a single free throw. Holliday was able to more than extend its lead to 45-32 heading into the fourth and final frame.

Courtesy of Tigerette freshman Avery Bennett, who buried a pair from outside, the Tigers were abled to make a cut back into single figures. Berend, Holman, and Richardson each had two points. but it was too little too late.

Holman had 13 points to pace Jacksboro with Tullous and Berend each adding eight for the Purple.
