Area Meet set Monday in Jacksboro

Jacksboro’s Tiger Stadium will host the Area 7-8 Meet Monday. Fourteen schools will have representatives at the day-long event.

The meet will begin at 11 a.m. with the boys and girls 3,200-meter run and field events as well. The top four in each event will qualify for the regional meet April 26-27 at Abilene Christian University.

The schedule is as follows:

 11 a.m. – Varsity boys long jump and shot put; varsity girls pole vault and discus

12:30 p.m. – varsity boys high jump and discus; varsity girls triple jump and continuation of pole vault

2 p.m. – varsity boys pole vault; varsity girls long jump and shot put

3:30 p.m. – varsity boys triple jump and pole vault continued; varsity girls high jump

5 p.m. – 400-meter relay

5:15 p.m. –  800-meter run

5:30 p.m. – 100-110 meter hurdles

5:50 p.m. – 100-meter run

6:05 p.m. – 800-meter relay

6:30 p.m. – 400-meter run

6:45 p.m. – 300-meter hurdles

7 p.m. – 200-meter run

7:15 p.m. – 1,600-meter run

7:35 p.m. – 1600-meter relay
