Thanks for a great homecoming

The Jacksboro High School Student Council would like to thank all those who participated in this year’s Homecoming Parade and festivities. Jacksboro High School values our traditions and the parade is one of those traditions.

We had over 62 entries including seven alumni classes plus numerous entries from the community. We would also like to thank the police and other law enforcement officers and community officials who helped to make the parade possible.

Thanks also goes to our school board and administration for continuing to support our Homecoming traditions and to the Ex-Student Association for their help in announcing and judging the parade and to Mr. Weldon for his help with the bonfire. Homecoming is more than the parade and bonfire; it includes many behind the scenes activities such as decorating the gym, running the elections, and organizing the parade, coronation and pregame programs.

Mr. Burnett, Dr. Spears and Mrs. Teague spend countless hours preparing for and coordinating this very special day for Jacksboro High School. The Student Council would like to extend a very special thanks to Mr. Brad Burnett, Dr. Liz Spears and Mrs. Teresa Teague for all their help in organizing this major project.
