  • Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all

With two days to go until Christmas, I often wonder how the birth of Christ was celebrated with no one to welcome the Savior. No pundits, No nothing. Just the family the way it should be.

I still think having fans at sporting events is a good thing but I wonder what kind of restrictions would be placed on tickets for the birth of our Savior.

Would it be 25 percent capacity? Would you have to wear a mask? Would they keep it in the same small venue or would there “be room at the Inn?”

Nah. Everything in God’s world is perfect and the way he wants it, so his entry into said world is perfect as well.

I have to admit, the lack of fans a the the birth of Jesus had me thinking about the lack of fans in other facility and how much I would really enjoy that. It’s nice not seeing fans at pro and college sporting events has been kind of interesting to watch. The lack of fans has thrown off the Mrs. (then again my wife gets thrown off when the heat runs in our home, so go figure).

I still like having announcers (some more than others) describe the action and what’s going on. I keep the volume low on the TV. If they’re bad, I’ll just turn the volume down and watch.

I’m a radio guy for ball games normally, having grown up with some of the best announcers in the world who did radio. I think that’s why I enjoy radio so much.

I just can’t do it right now as I’m going a job I like even more, writing and shooting pics. in two put of my three schools, I can get in and out of a facility like a ghost and no one even knows I’m there.

In Bryson, it’s another story. It’s taken nearly seven years, but people are willing to talk to me there.

Usually, all people do at the other gyms is plow over me as they chase their child who hasn’t learned their high school gym isn’t a playground. In some cases, the moms are starting to go around me, because they don’t want to disturb me because I am working.

At many of our gyms, there’s no room at the big kids table, so I sit at the stands. A nice new floor and impressive new lighting at the City View gym takes it out of the basement of District 7-3A gyms.

Everyone of my local gyms has improved their lighting as well. I used to hate shooting in any of the Jack County gyms. Now, its not so bad.

Don’t forget, my birthday is one week from today (Dec. 30). Cards, gifts or just general acknowledgment will be appreciated.

That’s about it for this week. As always, thanks for reading.

See y’all down the road.
