The Jacksboro Volunteer Fire Department spreads Christmas cheer each year by delivering stockings to the whole town. The JVFD is seeking donations to help keep the tradition going.

Santa Claus is coming to town

Residents of Jacksboro,

The Jacksboro Volunteer Fire Department has a Christmas tradition that is more than 50 years strong. On Christmas Eve, we will have Santa Claus with us once again spreading Christmas cheer and delivering a Christmas stocking to everyone.

We love doing this and look forward to it every year. This long-standing tradition comes with a cost and we need your help to be sure that it continues. Over the next few weeks, we will be partnering with local businesses to raise funds to cover these costs.

Our business partners are Shopko, Kwik Stop, Jack County Automotive, Lowe’s Market, Jacksboro National Bank, Legacy Texas Bank, Fred’s, Nash Hardware and The Bank of Jacksboro.

You will see a firefighter’s boot at these businesses that your donations can be dropped into and we will be stationing outside of some of them in an effort to fund raise.

We will also be accepting donations at Jacksboro City Hall and the Jacksboro Fire Department on East College.

If you would prefer, you can contact us directly at (940)229-0363. Please contribute through one of these opportunities and help us keep this tradition going strong.

Sincerely,

Thomas Cox
