Valerie Dawn Koonce, age 38, passed away Saturday, May 21, 2022, in Fort Worth. She was born Feb. 6, 1984, in Palo Pinto, to Clifford Wayne Koonce and Sonja Jean (Sedberry) Koonce.

A memorial service was held at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 28, at Grace Baptist Church in Jacksboro.

Valerie is preceded in death by her mother, Sonja Koonce; daughters, Gracie Faye Gary and Winter Jean Lee; nephew, Grayson Fox; grandparents, Mural and Clifford Moody Koonce; and uncle Paul Williamson.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are father, Clifford Koonce and Crystal; sisters, Rebecka Koonce, Kelli Koonce and husband Stephen and Hannah Koonce; daughter, Autumn Grace Acklin; sons, Jordan Lee, Brenden David Koonce, and Charles Vaughn Massie; nieces, Isabella Fry and Elle Fox; and nephews, Curtis Wayne Andrew, Robert Fry, Chance Fry, Jaxson Fry, and Stetson Fox.
