Roy Applewhite, 89, passed away at his home Saturday, June 25, 2022. A Graveside Service was held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 1, at Post Oak Cemetery.

Roy was born Dec. 16, 1932 in Lambert, Miss. to Pete and Georgia Branmun Applewhite. Roy was known as a working man. He started out operating a dozer which led him to being self employed for the rest of his life in the oilfield.

Roy is preceded in death by his parents; and son, Perry Applewhite.

Those left behind to cherish his memory include his daughter, Tracy Braden and husband Randy; daughter-in-law, Peggy Applewhite; and grandchildren, Angela Redder, LeWayne Branden, Jake Applewhite, Justin Braden, John Sparks, Misty Sparks, Joe Sparks, Jennifer Sparks, Aaron Sparks, and Tisha Hulsey.
