Rosie Lee (Jane) Smith Spradling

Rosie Lee (Jane) Smith Spradling went to be with her Lord, Monday, March 30, 2020 in Jacksboro. Jane was born Sept. 7, 1926 in Joplin to Alfred and Iva Jennings Smith. She was married to J.A. Spradling on June 2, 1944 in Jack County. He preceded her in death in 1979.

Jane was a long-time member of Liveoak Baptist Church. She was treasurer of her class for many years. All of the women in her class were very special to her.

Jane was preceded in death by her husband and three brothers, Haron, A.L. and Billie Joe.

Jane is survived by her four children, Glenda Moore of Jacksboro, Larry and wife Mary of Chillicothe, Gary and wife Dean Spradling of Truce and Neva and husband Tommy Wilson of Perrin; 14 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 15 great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends. 

For the last ten years, Jane (or Rosie as she was called) has lived at the Faith Community Nursing and Rehab where she made many friends. Jane’s life is best described as living each day caring and living for her family.
