Rita Middleton Jackson

Rita Middleton Jackson, 81, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2016 in Fort Worth, Texas. 

She was born August 22, 1934 in Montague, Texas to Smith Fredrick Middleton and Angie Oleta Brown Middleton. 

The family moved to Jacksboro in her 16th year. She graduated from Jacksboro high school. 

She married Homer Ray Jackson in October 1951. He preceded her in death in January 1962. 

She graduated from Bud Hall Beauty School in July of 1962 and worked as an operator and salon owner until January 1974. She then went to work for the Texas Cosmetology Commission as a salon inspector until her retirement in 1999. She enjoyed the remainder of her years in Grapevine, Texas. 

Along with her husband Ray, Rita was preceded in death by her parents, one older brother Gene Middleton, son Randall Ray Jackson, and grandson Jacob Randall Jackson. 

She leaves behind her daughters and son-in-laws, Jim and Rhonda Nelson and Lance and Starla Holt;  her grandchildren, Jayme and Jackson Nelson, Holly Bock, Shelly and Allison Holt, Joshua Locke and Genita Jackson and five great-grand children.

Services led by Tommy Nelson were Thursday, August 4 at the Denton Bible Church Chapel in Denton, Texas followed by a guest reception.
