Paula Thomas passed away Thursday, April 7, in Wichita Falls. She was 74 years old. She was born Nov. 13, 1947, in Spanish Fort, Texas, to William Chester Brown and Freda Mae (Carpenter) Brown.

A visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, at Coker Funeral Home in Jacksboro. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 20, at Molsbee Cemetery in Nocona.

Paula married Earnest Lynn Thomas on Dec. 27, 1962, in Nocona. For many years Paula was a caregiver. From working in the nursing home to being a private caregiver, Paula had a true calling to help people. But Paula’s greatest joy in life were her grandchildren.

She loved to spoil them and cherished each one of their visits. She was the best MawMaw they could have ever asked for. She will truly be missed by her family and those that knew her.  

Paula is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earnest Lynn Thomas; son, Christopher Lynn Thomas; and siblings, Johnnie Dishman, Syble Alsup, and Billy Brown. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her sons, Jason Thomas and wife Marci, and Kevin Thomas and wife Brandy; grandchildren, Chance Thomas, Chase Thomas, Casey Thomas, and Samantha Thomas; five great-grandchildren; siblings, Joe Brown and Becky Beckham; along with many friends.
