Patsy Ann (McDonald) Riley, age 86, (formerly of Jacksboro) entered the presence of the Lord on Friday, June 21 in Crane.

She was born Sept. 25, 1937, in Saginaw, to Collis Edgar and Sarah Angie (Morrow) McDonald. She was one of nine children.

Visitation will be held from 9–10 a.m. Wednesday, June 26 at Coker Funeral Home in Jacksboro. A graveside service will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Jacksboro with longtime friend and Pastor Gary Leonard officiating.

Patsy married Luther Ples Riley on July 2, 1955 in Parker County. She was a member of the Live Oak Baptist Church in Jacksboro where she was very involved. From singing in the choir to helping with vacation bible school or with various committees. She was an Omsbudsman for the state of Texas monitoring nursing homes. Patsy lived a life of servitude to the Lord, her family and to the community where she lived. She was always willing and eager to serve others. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Patsy grew up in Wizard Wells where her father worked for the railroad. After marriage she and Luther moved to Jacksboro and then to Petrolia where they lived until all of her children graduated high school. They moved to Wichita Falls where she worked for Johnson and Johnson and then for Siemens until she retired. After retirement she and Luther moved back to Jacksboro to enjoy retirement and be close to family.

She was preceded in death by husband, Luther of 60 years; her parents; and seven of her siblings.

Patsy’s memory will be cherished by her children, Kaye Ellzey and husband C.O. of Odessa, Luther Riley, Jr. and wife Terri of Forney, Don Riley and wife Debbie of Midland, Kitty Parker and husband Troy of Jacksboro; one sister, Ina Mae Bryant; grandchildren, Monica Ellzey, Micheal Ellzey and wife Elizabeth, Barbara Ellzey and Chris Phillips, Heather Martinez, Colin Riley, Hyla Riley, Troy Parker, Jr. and wife Laurita; seven great-grandc hildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and friends.

Pallbearers will be: Micheal Ellzey, Colin Riley, Chris Phillips, Mike Egan, and Rusty McDonald.
