Patricia Ann Amburn, age 80, loving mother of Nora Sanders, Daniel Lawrence Hall, and Jack Elwyn Amburn passed away in the early morning hours of Wednesday, Sept. 7, at her home.

Ann was born Sept. 20, 1941 in Jack County, to Andy Daniel Ogle and Lula Renie Ogle (Hale). Ann grew up in Jacksboro surrounded by her large family, she had six brothers and three sisters.

She married the love of her life Samuel Elwyn Amburn on July 16, 1965 in Archer City. Sam passed from this life in 2005. Ann had a love for people and showed it by being a faithful caregiver for many local families. She could be found for many years at the Presbyterian Church, Memorial Christian, Live Oak Baptist, and First Baptist Church taking care of the nursery with a true servants heart Ann was always ready to take a trip and never passed up the invite to go. Left behind to cherish her memory are her three children, Nora Ann Sanders, Daniel Lawrence Hall both of Jacksboro, and Jack Amburn and wife Diane of Graham; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Anitta Fagan of Jacksboro; many nieces and nephews; and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Andy and Lula Ogle; six brothers; two sisters; and her loving husband, Sam Amburn. Pallbearers include Sam Fagan, Nelson Ogle,Yancey Laake, Josh Mathis, Warren Mathis, and Payton Laake. Honorary pallbearers are Patrick Sanders and Klayton Hall.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 12, at Coker Funeral Home, with burial following at Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
