On Saturday, Aug. 8, 2020, Nancy Ann Oliver went to be with the Lord at the age of 86.

Nancy was born on August 17, 1933 in Goree, Texas, to Lattie and Ola Mae (Wood) Roberts. Her parents passed when Nancy was four years old. After her parents passed she was raised by Ola Mae’s sister, Noma, and Marvin Marley in Jack County. At the age of twelve, Nancy accepted Christ and was baptized in a stock tank near Mountain Home Baptist Church.

On October 17, 1950, Nancy married Billy Joe Oliver. They raised two children, Cindy and Gary. She worked as a teller at Jacksboro National Bank for 26 years. Nancy’s passion was her family.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Lattie and Ola Mae Roberts, two brothers, Harold and

Charles Roberts, both of California, as well as the couple who raised her, Marvin and Noma Marley.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Billy Oliver, her two children, Cindy Anding of Little Elm, , and Gary Oliver of Jacksboro, and five grandchildren, Jonathan Anding of Redding,Calif., Joshua Anding of Boone, North Carolina, Elizabeth Fowler of Greenville, Texas, and Emily Anding of Little Elm, Texas, and Lexi Oliver of Jacksboro, Texas.

Nancy’s funeral service was held on Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2020, at the First Baptist Church in

Jacksboro. Donations in her name may be made to Concerned Citizens of Jacksboro.
